SewShape uses optional Google Analytics to understand how people use the website.

Your choice

Analytics stays off until you choose Accept. You can use the whole website if you decline or close the notice. Your choice is saved in this browser for 180 days. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

What analytics records

If you accept, Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits and records page views, reaching 90% of a page, and clicks to other websites. The reports can include browser and device information, approximate location and the referring website. Google processes this information on its servers, which may be outside your country.

I send page addresses without search queries or fragments, and only the website name for referring and outgoing links. I do not send your search terms, form entries, names or email addresses to Analytics. I do not use this setup for advertising, and advertising signals are disabled.

Analytics cookies last for up to 180 days. Choosing Decline stops further collection and removes these cookies. It does not erase information already collected by Google.

Website services and other sites

Cloudflare hosts SewShape and processes connection information needed to deliver and protect the website. The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive technical information such as your IP address when your browser connects to them; they are separate from optional Analytics.

Links to my pattern listings and social pages take you to other websites with their own privacy policies. My Adobe Portfolio analytics is separate from this website's Analytics choice.
